Established in 1997, Huagen Chinese School currently has more than a hundred students along with many faculty and staff, most of whom are parents or college student volunteers.
 华根中文学校成立于 1997 年， 目前有一百多名学生和众多教职员工，其中大部分 是家长或大学生志愿者。

 Research shows that children at young ages can master a second language much easier than adults, and children who learn a second language develop stronger problem solving and analytical skills. Thus, the school aims to teach children the Chinese language (Mandarin) so that they can learn to listen, speak, read, and write in Chinese. The ultimate goal is to give children a lifetime asset of learning skills.
 研究表明 ， 年幼的孩子比成人更容易掌握第二语言，学习第二语言的孩子会发展更强的解决问题和分析能力。因此，学校旨在教孩子们中文（普通话），以便他们能够学习用中文听、说、读和写。最终目标是让孩子们获得终生的学习技能资产。

  The classes are divided into multiple levels to fit students of different language proficiency. Besides Chinese, the school offers other fun classes such as music, arts, calligraphy, dancing, chess, Tai Chi, soccer, etc. Students will go to class every Saturday afternoon at Oak Hall School.
  课程分为多个级别，以适应不同语言水平的学生。除了中文，学校还提供其他有趣的课程，如音乐、艺术、书法、舞蹈、国际象棋、太极拳、足球等。学生每周六下午都会去橡树厅学校上课 。
